Words are made to bless, flutes and fiddles to sound, and feet to dance. It was in this spirit that IRISH BLESSING was born with a vision of presenting the purest forms of traditional Irish music and dance to the world. Parents Cushla (Irish Flute/pennywhistle/keyboards) and Jim (bodhran) played for many years with son Josh (fiddle) and Jonathon (Irish flute). Since then Johathon has gone on to become a three-time North American Irish Dance Senior Belt Winner and has performed in four tours of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and on America’s Got Talent with the dance group Hammerstep. Today Cushla and Jim are joined by Mikey McComiskey, son of Billy McComiskey who is playing at this festival with Trian.
