Box of Books

...has been invited to appear at our 2021 festival but has not yet been confirmed. Stay tuned!

The five band members, with instruments, against a white wall.

Box of Books is an alternative-folk band from West Chester, PA. Formed by core members, bassist/vocalist Thomas Lombard and guitarist/vocalist Michael Trycieckyj, the band combines contemporary indie-rock songwriting with a traditional folk instrumentation including James Devor (mandolin), Bronwyn Livezey (violin), and Anthony Saddic (accordion). The band released two singles in 2018, "Heartless" and "Estella," as well as a music video for the former. Appearing as a duo or full-group, the band plays shows of original music as well as "folked-up" cover sets in the Philadelphia/West Chester areas. Chock-full of literary references, wistful ballads, and a dash of self-deprecating humor, Box of Books' debut album, "Expectations," is available now on all major streaming platforms.

Box of Books is one of five acts in our 2019 Emerging Artist Showcase.
